Ukraine 1 year on: Would I Be Brave Enough?

One year on from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. A video version of ‘Would I Be Brave Enough?’ A poem written in tribute to the people of Ukraine and also people brave enough to protest in Russia, against Putin’s illegal aggression.
Originally written in the first few weeks of the war, as well as English, it has since been translated into Ukrainian , Russian & Farsi

Scott Coe is a performance poet and artist, and is the former Poet Laureate of Stamford. He believes poetry should always be written from the heart – it’s all about feeling and is always at it’s best when written in the moment, when the thoughts run straight from your soul to the pen.
